| Bio: | Born in central PA. Moved eight times before I turned six. Grew up in the DC suburbs. Drew cartoons and took notes in a series of little notebooks inspired by Harriet the Spy. Survived high school by living in the art room. Discovered that I could actually draw. Lived in Providence, DC, Richmond and New York attending various art schools or living with people who did. Always carried a sketchbook around...to clubs, bars, bleak sidewalks, work, more bars, etc... After seven years in NYC, embarked on an extended road trip/art project that came to a screeching halt in Oregon when artistic recognition coincided with unexpected mamahood. I continue to carry a sketchbook around and to show new paintings every year or two.
When the time came to move again I picked Pittsburgh more or less off a map, because I could buy an old house there. I still travel back and forth to Portland, NYC, or somewhere between Baltimore and Annapolis. Sometimes I even manage to draw on the way! When I'm not traveling, I can usually be found tearing up my walls or going out for breakfast.
My ideal online journal would be handmade of very intelligent paper which would transmit drawings instantly to the net.
